Additional Information
This feature encourages dual-band capable devices (devices that can use either 5GHz and 2.4GHz spectrum) to use the 5GHz spectrum. This reserves the 2.4GHz spectrum for legacy devices that are not capable of operating in the 5GHz spectrum.

When a dual-band capable device attempts to connect to the 2.4GHz radio, the Cradlepoint will not respond. This forces the client to use the 5GHz spectrum, which is less congestion-prone than the 2.4GHz spectrum.
