Series 1 & 2: Accessing the Setup Pages of a CradlePoint Router

This article applies to the following routers/adapters:
CBA250 | CBA750 | CTR350 | CTR500 | PHS300| MBR90

Symptom:

I cannot access my administration pages to change/edit settings.


Cause:

You are not connected to your router.


Resolution:

Three quick steps to access the Administration Pages:
 

  1. Connect your computer to the CradlePoint router in one of two ways:  use WiFi to connect wirelessly to the router, or use a wired LAN connection with an ethernet cable (if available on your product).  You must disconnect any other internet sources that do not come through the CradlePoint router, this includes disconnecting the aircard/modem if it is directly connected to your computer. 
  2. Once connected to the router open a web browser (such as Firefox, Chrome, or Internet Explorer) and type http://192.168.0.1 in the addres bar.  Press enter/return.  This site is hosted on the Cradlepoint router so you do not need internet access other than the connection to the router. 
  3. When prompted for your password, type the last six characters of your MAC Address Press enter/return.

 

Your MAC address can be found on the product label on the bottom of your router.  If you have a PHS300, you may need to remove the battery to find the product label.  How Do I Find The Default Password For My CradlePoint Router?

 

You will now be logged into the administration pages of your CradlePoint router. Click the HELP tab in the top navigation bar if you have questions while using the administration features to make changes to the way the router functions.

Note If Using Internet ExplorerIf you are having difficulty logging in to the router, disable any extra add-ons by going to Tools -> Manage Add-Ons.  You might also consider using a different web browser such as Firefox, Chrome, or Safari to access the administration pages.  You may also need to set Compatibility View. Enable Compatibility View Mode

Note:  If you are having difficulty logging in to the router, you may need to reset the router.
