Firmware Patch for COR Configuration in ECM

February 9, 2016

What is it?
Cradlepoint is issuing a firmware patch for select COR family products managed in Enterprise Cloud Manager (ECM).  If the application of a router configuration change via ECM is not successful, the router will disconnect from ECM and cannot reconnect.
Are my devices affected?
All versions of IBR1100, IBR1150, IBR600, IBR650,
that meet the following conditions, are potentially affected:
- Running firmware 6.0.2, or 6.0.4    (6.0.4 is for IBR1100/50 only)
- Managed via ECM
Not Affected
  • COR products running firmware 6.0.1 or earlier
  • COR products not managed in ECM
  • COR IBR350
  • All other products (AER, ARC families)
Mitigation Steps: what actions do I take?
Customers running firmware 6.0.2 or 6.0.4, should upgrade to firmware 6.0.5.
Firmware 6.0.5 is now available in ECM and on the Connect Portal.
Upgrading to New Firmware
At CradlePoint, protecting your network is our first priority.  For information on how to upgrade firmware, please view the Knowledgebase article below:
Managing your Cradlepoint Devices with Enterprise Cloud Manager (ECM)
Firmware 6.0.2 and 6.0.4 has been deprecated
- These firmware versions for the affected COR products are now deprecated from the Connect Portal.
- These versions will be deprecated from ECM in mid-February.
At that point:
- These firmware versions can no longer be applied to affected COR series via ECM
- New COR series routers cannot be added to ECM Groups currently running these versions
