Symptoms
  • Receiving a "NO SIM" message on all SIM slots
Environment
  • Brand new SIM card
  • MC400LP6
  • MC400LPE
  • Modems manufactured after October 17th 2017
  • Serial Numbers MM170351700001 and above
Resolution
  1. Cut the sticky part of a post-it note to perfectly fit the top of the SIM card
  2. Stick it to the top of the SIM card
  3. Reinsert the SIM card back into the modem
  4. If the SIM now connects, contact Cradlepoint support about getting a possible replacement: How can I get an RMA replacement?
Cause
  • A very small number of ODM modems manufactured after October 17th, 2017 had a change in production which resulted in an incorrect SIM slot thickness, leading to the SIM not being properly recognized when inserted.
